“What Lies Beneath”

Songwriter / Lyricist

“What Lies Beneath" is an original song commissioned for FLASH, a fundraiser concert for Nourish NYC performed on Sept. 25, 2022. Sung by Drew Tanabe and Chloe Lexia Worthington, this duet was based on a photograph taken by Carina Goebelbecker, and explores the history and landmarks of NYC's Rockaway Beach, reflecting on what gets left behind as neighborhoods develop over time.

The concert featured original music by Xander Browne, Sofia Geck, Austin Pogrob, and Imani Russell, with performances by Xander Browne, Alessha Jeter, Sarah Olive-McStay, Drew Tanabe, and Chloe Lexia Worthington. Photos and video by Carina Goebelbecker and @ternatskiy. Proceeds from the fundraiser went towards funding the Cloud Community Center in Harlem.

“We came back to Rockaway
A year after the storm
Boardwalk ripped, houses flipped
But the water still was warm

Bought a seaside condo
Gray paint barely dried
Time doesn’t stop, we build on top
Memories wash out with the tide…”

PSA: Singles Awareness Day

Songwriter / Music Producer

A single jingle for those proudly without partners. Whether you’re partnerless, apathetic, or just hate Valentine’s Day in general, this one’s for you.

“Celebrate single, single
You don’t gotta mingle, mingle
You are enough - go on and strut your stuff!”
